COFRA was established in 1938 by Ruggiero Cortellino under the name "Cortelgomma". The founder's entrepreneurial spirit and passion for producing quality products propelled this small business into a flourishing company in just a few short years. Cortelgomma began distributing hundreds of pairs of shoes and boots per day all over Italy. This eliminates marks on fresh asphalt while protecting your feet from high temperatures throughout the work day. The outsole is heat resistant for 8 hours at 212°F, 30 minutes at 302°F, and even extreme heat protection for 1 minute at 572°F.

The COFRA New Asphalt Work Boots are designed to withstand the harshest road work conditions. From their water repellent printed leather upper for protection against the elements to the breathable leather providing comfort on hot asphalt, these 6" work boots feature an injection molded outsole that will never separate from the upper, and sturdy metal eyelets for secure lacing.

COFRA's Heat Shield Work Boots are engineered to handle the most extreme, hottest road work conditions. In addition to the smooth injection molded sole and puncture resistant plate, these boots feature fireproof seams with para-aramid yarn and DUPONT KEVLAR, excellent traction, adjustable lace protection with Velcro closure, and flame and heat resistance up to 797°F.

Rounding out the COFRA asphalt footwear collection is the US Road Work Boots. Designed for the harshest road work conditions, this 8" water repellent printed leather upper boot provides protection against the elements while the breathable leather upper ensures comfort on hot asphalt. The injection molded outsole is permanently bonded, and sturdy metal eyelets secure the laces.
